Innecto is an alluring 110 seat restaurant and cocktail bar of 1400 square feet, for the renowned restaurateur Sami Wasif. The practice has re-interpreted the concept of an Italian restaurant, with a unique, modern design that maximises the characteristics of the tight site. The front façade is formed as a striking sequence of pivoting panels of burnished steel and bright amber glass. The dining area is a series of three overlapping shells woven from American black walnut strips. Irregular holes in the weave reveal glimpses of the concrete shell behind, which are illuminated by a soft wash of low-level light.
