BUPA
As the winners of a limited competition, Jestico + Whiles developed a new interior design concept for all 36 Bupa hospitals within the United Kingdom. The interior design reflects a radical approach to healthcare, which addresses key healthcare issues including mobility and accessibility, infection control and durability. The contemporary interior design provides comfort and reassurance, through warm, natural materials, with bright bold hues, soft fabrics and dark veneers. The lessons learnt from the research undertaken were applied to a prototype reception, consultant’s room, nurses' station and bedrooms at BUPA’s Wellesley Hospital and a specifics manual.
