Hammersmith Bus Station
The design of Hammersmith Bus Station transforms an extended section of the existing station into an attractive, new urban public space with eight bus shelters and seven bus standing areas and a distinctive metallic elliptical kiosk. Future development to the Station is planned to provide 220,000 square feet of office space, retail, residential, community and leisure amenities, linked to the adjacent shopping centre and upper bus station. Pedestrian movement and circulation has been carefully considered to optimise passenger numbers passing through Hammersmith, and to improve bus capacity in the west of London.
