Embassy for the People's Republic of China
The refurbishment of the Grade II, six storey building comprises diplomatic offices for twenty staff and a lavish reception venue for large functions, in a magnificent, Georgian terraced house in Lancaster Gate. The elaborate stucco façade, original rooms and ornate period details have been meticulously restored in keeping with the original grandeur of the former building. A grand elliptical stair forms a centrepiece and feature of the building and leads guests to a luxurious first floor banqueting room. Subtle Chinese motifs, including jade coloured slate wall panels, lanterns and red polished lacquer have been carefully considered and complement the calm colour scheme.
