Dunaj Department Store
Dunaj Shopping Centre is a flagship retail and mixed-use development comprising 48,000 square feet on SNP square in the historical centre of Bratislava. The development comprises new retail space, offices and a restaurant within two linked refurbished buildings; the listed 1930s functionalist Dunaj building, and an adjacent department store, which was constructed in the 1980s. Appointed as architects and interior designers, the practice undertook significant consultation with the Heritage Department to successfully modernise the buildings. High quality retail space and flexible office accommodation have been located on the lower levels, which address the adjacent streetscape and square, whilst the large, open terraces of the contemporary rooftop restaurant maximise the views of the historic city.
