Aylward Academy
Aylward Academy was formed in September 2010 as part of an expanding network of academies under a management structure led by the London Academies Enterprise Trust (LAET), a partnership of the Mayor’s Company and the Academies Enterprise Trust (AET). Aylward Academy currently provides places for over 1,48 students, delivering specialisms in English and Literacy and Business and Enterprise. The overall design aesthetic is contemporary in its approach and in contrast to the existing buildings. External materials of the new building have been selected to signal the investment in the Academy and as a new entrance and frontage to the school showcasing new Sixth Form facilities.
