Last week, we joined MATT+FIONA's latest build, a co-created performance space at London's Brixton House, developed with 25 ten year olds from four local Brixton primary schools.
The project has been long in the making, originally commissioned prior to the pandemic in 2019, to actively engage young people in Brixton.
Emerging from the early workshops, the brief set by the children includes both open and more enclosed spaces for different types of play & performance. The structure has now been completed inside the new building, ensuring young people are at the heart of the theatre’s programming.
