We are pleased to announce that our second building for the Island Quarter Nottingham, a true blended use scheme, has won planning permission.
The building will be shared between hotel, long stay apartments, BTR residential, co-working and, day spa and a market hall, with a “watercolour” ground floor which will be a meeting point for residents, guests and worked from the Island Quarter and as a destination from those outside.
Our first building, a canal side pavilion with two restaurant and events space, opens this summer as the handshake between the city centre and the Island Quarter. Island Quarter is an emerging 39ha masterplan on a derelict industrial site studded with historic warehouses and railway architecture, the very essence of historic Nottingham, that will be complemented by entirely contemporary uses.
We are pleased to say that Jestico + Whiles's work and close association with Island Quarter continues.
