Pitzhanger Manor and Gallery wins at RIBA National Awards and New London Awards

02.07.2019

We're really pleased that our work on Pitzhanger Manor and Gallery has been recognised as a winner at the RIBA National Awards, now on the longlist for the Stirling Prize as well as at the New London Awards, winning the Conservation category. A true testament of collaboration, we worked alongside Julian Harrap Architects to transform Pitzhanger Manor back to the jewel that Soane designed and lived in during the 19th Century.

Restoring one of the most influential buildings by Sir John Soane is no light undertaking. Having been adapted over two centuries the task of restoring the manor was painstaking and at times forensic. With support from Ealing Council and the Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery Trust, Pitzhanger has been made accessible to the wider public, revealing Soaneā€™s masterful architecture, his manipulation of space and light and stunning use of colour and surface decoration.
