Designing inspirational and inclusive learning environments is something we are very passionate about at Jestico + Whiles, and we've had the privilege to design over 70 schools across two decades. It's always rewarding to revisit the schools once students have arrived, and to see all the incredible work that takes place there.
Last Thursday, we were invited to join Reach Academy's Bright Futures Careers Day, where over 30 institutions came together to support the students exploring a wide range of future professions.
Thank you to Charity Whitehead and Alex Liew, integral members of our Education studio, who brought drawings, models, and VR headsets to show students how their school was designed! The pupils loved using the VR headset to explore the digital model of the building, and learn about life as an architect.
It is so key to introduce the next generation to design, especially in a context that is so close to home for them! In doing so, we hope to demonstrate that a career in architecture and constructions is achievable and inspire local students to pursue their ambitions.
