James Dilley

James joined Jestico + Whiles in 1994, and has since then specialised in architectural and interior design of hospitality projects including hotels, restaurants and bars, clubs and cinemas. He is Head of Interior Design and Hospitality and a director at the practice.

Qualified as an architect, James also has a particular expertise in interior design and so, wherever possible, Jestico + Whiles' hospitality projects such as W Edinburgh, in the heart of the city’s UN World Heritage site are delivered under combined architectural and interior design services.

Notable projects successfully completed around the world include the "ultraluxe" Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi, W Hotel London and Andels Lodz in Poland.

These projects have won many respected international design awards including, uniquely, the MIPIM special prize in consecutive years.

James lectures internationally in hotel and interior design and is a judge for prestigious international award panels including the European Hotel Design Awards, WIN Awards and the Blueprint Awards.
