Julian Dickens
Associate Director


Julian joined Jestico + Whiles in 1996 and became an Associate Director in 2014. With over 20 years of experience across the UK and internationally, he offers expertise in higher education, industrial, offices, hotels and residential and leads our science + technology team.

Key completed projects include the £35m RIBA award-winning National Graphene Institute for the University of Manchester and the £45m RIBA and AIA award-winning Mountbatten Building for the University of Southampton. His international work includes the £45m Australian Institute of Nanoscience in Sydney, the Centre for Advanced Studies in Cuba and two data centre campuses in Finland and the Netherlands for a global technology company. Currently he’s overseeing delivery of the £210m Cavendish III Laboratory for the University of Cambridge.

Julian has lectured widely about the practice’s work, including at the RIBA, RICS, NLA, the University of Cambridge, London Metropolitan University and Manchester School of Architecture.
