Seeking to achieve an experience redolent of the sophistication and luxury associated with boutique hotels, Telford Homes appointed Jestico + Whiles for the interior design of their reception foyer and circulation spaces at their flagship Avante Garde development in Bethnal Green, London.
Presented with a wealth of inspiration in the immediate context of East London, we drew on the area’s colourful heritage to craft a series of spaces which capture the atmosphere of the area while introducing a timeless elegance.
A pewter-clad reception desk adorns the foyer which seamlessly combines a diverse palette of materials including brick paving, acid etched exposed concrete and painted glazed screens.
Lighting is playfully integrated into the brick paving and a bespoke chandelier is carefully positioned to complement the reception desk. Beautifully tailored leather upholstery adds a softening touch, while a series of antique pieces serve to ensure a unique experience.
