Equitable House is a high quality office and retail building of approximately 65,000 sq ft on the site of a former car park, close to The Monument in the City of London.
The building design took full advantage of its location, improving views towards the River Thames and the City of London, as well as greatly enhancing the townscape qualities of the surrounding area.
The building occupies an L-shaped site with retail space on the lower ground and ground floors. Materials and fittings were well considered, including Italian polished plaster in sun yellow and white, curvilinear ceilings lit by concealed lighting and ribbed stainless steel doors.
