Glen Eyre Halls of Residence comprises the extension and the refurbishment of student accommodation, on an attractive sloping landscaped setting, set above a picturesque wooded valley at the heart of the University of Southampton residential campus.
A variety of new accommodation is provided with 368 refurbished bedrooms and 250 new bedrooms. New extensions overlook and enclose the courtyards, creating attractive, landscaped quadrangles, providing a focus and identity for social activities.
The detailing of the façade has achieved a seamless integration between refurbishment and the new extensions. All buildings are finished in a pale render with recessed horizontal windows and continuous cills, which create an abstract composition of colour panels.
