Jestico + Whiles designed new offices for PRK and BDO in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The focus was on creating a comfortable working environment and shared informal space, helping to stimulate informal interaction between employees.
A subdued colour scheme together with natural materials creates a space which is intentionally less corporate, with a focus on detail and quality of execution.
The main compositional element of the shared space is a black service box which integrates the kitchen, archive and server room and can dynamically change its appearance by drawing the theatre-like curtain.
The reception is made from one piece of welded metal, directly referencing the local metalwork tradition of the region.
