Since joining Jestico + Whiles in 2011, Alex has become a leading member of the practice’s residential team, delivering award-winning mixed-use developments with a particular focus on affordable housing and estate regeneration. He is a team player who brings enthusiasm, positivity, creativity and a constructive approach to working relationships.
His completed projects include New Union Wharf for L&Q, a resident-led regeneration delivering 400 mixed-tenure homes on the Isle of Dogs, and The Pavilions for Telford Homes (Housing Design Awards Winner, British Homes Development of the Year), both requiring extensive community engagement and co-design with existing residents. Other regeneration projects include Vincent Street for London Borough of Newham, Nottingham’s 1 The Island Quarter and Peckham Place in south London.
He was the project architect for Mill Lane (RIBA House of the Year finalist, RIBA South Award), a carbon neutral family home featuring passive solar design and innovative renewable technologies.
As well as project work, Alex is a member of the practice’s communications and business development teams.
