Athina Stylianidi

Athina has worked in architecture and urban design across Greece, France, and the UK. Now based at Jestico + Whiles in London, she specialises in large masterplans and complex regeneration schemes. She is passionate about the human experience of urban space and bringing people together.
Athina led the design of the Canning Town Estates Regeneration masterplan, a which delivered 1,600 homes through co-design and community engagement, with a strong focus on social rent, alongside the first phase at Vincent Street – a 147-home, 100% affordable, Passivhaus-certified scheme co-designed in close partnership with the local community. Alongside her people-centred approach, Athina is adept at delivering design quality within tight budget constraints.
As outreach lead at Jestico + Whiles, Athina coordinates the studio’s work with organisations including Matt + Fiona, Open City and RIBA. She is also a member of the Plus Zero sustainability team.
