As part of London Design Festival 2017, we collaborated with the historic department store Heal’s, creating an installation at their flagship store on Tottenham Court Road.
The installation was made up of richly coloured ribbons, mounted to flagpoles outside the grade II* listed façade of the store where they were animated by the wind, and ceiling-mounted in the main showroom.
Heal’s has a long history of collaborating with prominent contemporary designers. For this installation, we worked directly with some of the designers that had developed the store’s AW17 collection. The opulent tassels of one cushion, designed by Eleanor Nadimi, became a key inspiration for the installation.
