Prix Versailles

We're very happy to share that the Ray Dolby Centre at the University of Cambridge has been named on the World's Most Beautiful Universities List 2026 by the Prix Versailles.

Announced annually at UNESCO, the Prix Versailles recognises the finest contemporary architecture worldwide, celebrating innovation, creativity, local heritage and the values of social interaction and participation. Being part of this list is a great recognition of everything the project set out to achieve.

Conceived as a home for world-leading physics research, the Ray Dolby Centre was always designed to be as much about people and community as it was about science. It’s wonderful to see that acknowledged at this level.

Three campuses from the list will also go on to receive a World Title at UNESCO Headquarters on 10 December. Fingers crossed!
